Val Loh has been a pivotal figure at Syska Hennessy Group since 1999, contributing expertise to a diverse portfolio of projects. These include high-rise buildings in South Korea, pharmaceutical campuses across the northeastern U.S., Beijing, and Shanghai, Fortune 500 clients HQs, and control and command centers for critical-facility and utility clients nationwide. Val has also played a key role in designing medical colleges and hospitals for New York City’s leading healthcare providers. With deep expertise in technology consulting, digital building infrastructure, and engineering, Val specializes in control and command centers, audiovisual systems, and advanced digital building solutions. Within Syska Hennessy, Val is actively involved in several leadership initiatives, including the Advocating for Professional Equity (SHAPE) Advisory, the Vision Award Program Steering, and Action Learning Initiatives. He also serves on the firm’s Board of Directors. 

Beyond Syska, Val is a dedicated industry leader, serving on the Board of Directors for the ACE Mentor Program of Greater New York, the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), NY Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) Committee, the Salvadori Center, and the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association (AVIXA). He also contributes as a Flowcilator for the LeaderFlow Program. 

Val earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on Management, from the University of Rochester, graduating with high distinction. He furthered his education with a Master of Engineering degree in manufacturing from Polytechnic University New York.
