Senior Principal, Senior Managing Director of Shanghai & Board Member
Ing Lim is the Senior Managing Director of Syska Hennessy Group’s Shanghai office, a Senior Principal, and a key member of the Firmwide Operations Team.
Ing joined Syska’s New York office in 1997 and, in 2008, established Syska Shanghai to bring the firm’s global expertise to projects in China and across Asia. Under his leadership with good mentoring program, the office has grown into one of the premier MEP and ICT firms in the region, delivering solutions for some of the most complex and challenging projects.
Ing bridges international practices with local knowledge, enabling him to successfully lead multinational teams. He has directed many of Syska’s most complex projects in China, including Shanghai Jiahui International Hospital, Duke Kunshan University, JPMorgan Chase Multiple Offices and Data Centers across APAC, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), and Shell’s Shanghai research laboratory. Beyond China, he has provided peer reviews for major projects in South Korea, such as the 151-story Incheon Tower. With more than 37 years of experience, Ing is a seasoned project director, an innovative engineering leader, and a trusted peer reviewer. His dedication to excellence, technical expertise, and multicultural approach have not only earned him respect in the industry but also contributed to Syska’s growth across key sectors — including financial services, higher education, data centers, healthcare, retail, and science & technology. Ing is fluent in both English and Mandarin.
Ing holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Southwestern Louisiana University. He is an active member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
Outside the office, Ing enjoys playing table tennis, jogging and fly fishing on occasion.
