Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA

Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center is a full-service hospital and medical center that was founded in 1973. The Medical Center’s services include cancer, diabetes, emergency care, heart and vascular, imaging, neonatal, obstetrics, orthopedics, pediatrics, surgery, women’s health and wound care. The Medical Center houses the San Fernando Valley Heart Institute, the Women’s Pavilion, the Diabetes Care Center, and one of the largest Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) in the San Fernando Valley. It also offers a pharmacy residency program. The Medical Center is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

Syska Hennessy group is leading the MEP design. The project includes enhancements to the hospital by way of building a new patient tower, an addition to the hospital’s lobby, addition to the diagnostic and treatment area, the integration of a new central utility plant, and an SPC-4D seismic upgrade of the existing hospital.
The New Patient Tower will replace the existing Patient Tower as the location for the bulk of acute care inpatient beds. The New Patient Tower will also contain the Emergency Department, imaging and pediatrics, facilities, and the inpatient pharmacy.
