Project Overview

Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Zap-X Center for Noninvasive Neurosurgery, Neptune, New Jersey

ZAP-X represents the next generation of stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), offering a highly advanced, noninvasive form of radiation therapy. This painless outpatient procedure requires no incisions, anesthesia, or invasive head frames — allowing patients to return home the same day without any recovery time.

The integration of Synaptive MRI technology with ZAP-X is truly groundbreaking. This combination gives physicians real-time imaging right before treatment begins. Unlike traditional MRIs, Synaptive’s system is quieter and uniquely designed to capture detailed images of the nervous system, making it the only dedicated brain MRI of its kind.

Together, these technologies deliver the highest level of precision, accuracy, and efficiency for treating many pituitary and brain tumors, along with other intracranial conditions.
