Syska has worked with many prominent federal and state governmental agencies, including the General Services Administration, State Department, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, FBI, Pentagon, U.S. Navy, Maryland Procurement Office, and the EPA, to name a few. Our work for them ranges from developing and standardizing design guidelines and best practices, to modeling and designing new facilities, to validating building performance. To accommodate every budget and timeline, we offer several alternative procurement methods, such as P3, design-build, and integrated project delivery.  

Many of the federal government’s existing and new facilities are tasked with achieving net-zero energy consumption by 2030, and we are helping them progress toward this ambitious goal. For this effort we draw on our expertise in building envelope optimization, energy management, water conservation, on-site power, and renewable energy systems. Today, several of the governmental projects we’ve completed serve as models for others where decarbonization is a top priority.
