Josh Fluecke, PE, LEED AP
Senior Principal, Senior Practice Area Director of Critical Facilities
Josh Fluecke is a Senior Principal at Syska Hennessy Group and serves as Co-Director of the firm’s Critical Facility Practice. With over 25 years of experience, Josh has led a wide range of hyperscale, colocation, and mission-critical facility projects, guiding them through every phase—from site selection and design to construction, testing, commissioning, and final delivery.
A licensed Professional Engineer in seven states—California, Colorado, Kansas, Kentucky, Illinois, Minnesota, and Missouri—Josh brings deep technical expertise and strategic insight to complex infrastructure challenges. He is an active leader in the industry, currently serving on the Board of Directors for Chicagoland’s Electric Association and as Past Chairman of its Consulting Electrical Engineers Division.
As part of his ongoing industry involvement, Josh presented at the CSE Webcast, “Critical power: How to design for selective coordination in mission critical systems?” in which he shared insights on engineering strategies for ensuring power reliability and safety. He also moderated the 7×24 Exchange 2024 Spring Conference panel discussion, “Future of the Enterprise Data Center” with industry leaders from Blackrock, Truist, and Skybox Data Centers, and was featured in “A Green Start: The Data Center’s Role in Climate Change.”
Josh holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago and is widely recognized for his commitment to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in critical facility design and delivery.
