Joseph (“Joe”) O’Sullivan, PE, LEED AP is Executive Principal and Director of U.S. Geographic Operations at Syska Hennessy Group, guiding the strategic direction and growth of the firm’s 18 domestic offices.
Joe began his Syska career in 1997 as an intern in New York, earning a reputation for strengthening client relationships and delivering complex mission-critical projects. He opened the Chicago office in 2007, which has since become a leading hub for many of the firm’s flagship projects. He later led the Central region in 2015, the Southeast region in 2020, and assumed nationwide leadership in 2023.
Joe is actively involved with ACE Mentor Chicago, the Chicago Architecture Center, 7×24 Exchange, ACEC, and USGBC. The City of Hope Real Estate & Construction Council honored him with its Spirit of Life® Award in 2019.
He holds a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Limerick and is a licensed Professional Engineer in six states. Away from work, Joe enjoys golf, travel, and time with his wife and three sons.
