Syska Hennessy Group has appointed Jeremy White, PE, CxA, an expert in the commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as a senior associate and associate practice area director. He is based in the firm’s Dallas office.
In his new role, Mr. White will lead business development efforts for commissioning services in the region. (Commissioning takes place after construction, when engineers ensure that all systems and equipment are set up and function optimally in a building.) He will also manage the local team.
Previously, Mr. White served in various commissioning roles at Richardson, Texas-based Engineered Air Balance Co., Inc., which he joined in 2009. His most recent position was commissioning manager.
“Our commissioning practice encompasses a wide variety of sectors, and we’re always eager to tackle the most complex of projects,” says Syska principal Mike Falkenstern, who leads the practice. “That’s why Jeremy is such a good fit for us. He has extensive experience in all types of building systems, and he has a strong track record of success in managing some truly challenging projects.”
A resident of Allen, Texas, Mr. White earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University in Lubbock. He holds a Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA) certification along with his professional engineering license, and he is a member of the Dallas chapter of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers.
